Kinga's Reading

War and Peace - Leo Tolstoy, Richard Pevear, Larissa Volokhonsky There are parts of this book that were fantastic, that I loved and there were parts of this book that made me weep with frustration. Hundreds of pages of philosophical analysis, or battle descriptions, of Tolstoy's own views on people do not make for easy reading. But, the complex characters, the lovely storylines (almost like a soap opera) and the description of an occupied Moscow were just fantastic. But I'm so pleased to be finally done!
